SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS has made history as the first office building in Latvia to achieve BREEAM Design Stage certification at the prestigious OUTSTANDING level. With an exceptional BREEAM score of 89.9%, it holds the highest rating among all mixed-use and office buildings in Latvia. This achievement reflects the building’s commitment to superior sustainability standards and innovative design.
Our goal is to replicate this success in the Post-construction stage by attaining the same OUTSTANDING level in BREEAM International New Construction certification scheme for Offices as Shell & Core for Satekles street 1C building and EXCELLENT level for the reconstructed historical building on Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša street 4. Our team is dedicated to working diligently toward achieving this goal.

BREEAM
certification level
Successfully obtained BREEAM Design stage certificates with the level OUTSTANDING, SATEKLES BIZNESA CENTRS is the first office building in Latvia to achieve the highest possible level of this certification, boasting an impressive BREEAM score of 89.9%. The project aims to replicate this success by attaining the same OUTSTANDING level for the Post-construction stage certificates under BREEAM New Construction for Offices (one for full-fitted and another for Shell & Core). The third certificate is supposed to be obtained for the reconstructed wooden building reaching BREEAM level EXCELLENT.

What Is BREEAM?
BREEAM (British Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is an internationally renowned assessment system, which facilitates the assessment of various types of buildings including offices, shopping centres and apartment buildings, etc. according to rigorous sustainability criteria split under 9 categories. The BREEAM certificate can be obtained for specific stages of a site’s development - the Design stage or Interim certificate and the Final or Post-construction certificate that evaluates both the performed construction process and the built building.
